Membership

Our members include psychotherapists and organisational consultants as well as psychodynamic organisational therapists. As members of APPCIOS they belong to a wide network of practitioners who are using their training to enrich the reflective capacity of the organisations in which they work; to improve the level of collaboration between colleagues; and to extend and deepen the quality of the relationships they offer to clients. There is evidence that this approach offers substantial benefits to the wellbeing of both clients and staff.

Our members also work in schools, children’s residential care, youth projects and justice teams, nurseries, fostering agencies, social care teams and adult care homes, hospitals, prisons and youth offending institutions and in a wide variety of professional roles: they work as teachers and other school support staff, residential social workers, youth workers, nursery nurses, social workers, nurses and prison staff - and in other occupations working with vulnerable clients.

Application process

To apply, please send your C.V. to admin@appcios.info. This will help us to choose a senior member from our Membership Group with the appropriate professional background, who will assist you in completing your APPCIOS application.

Organisational accreditation and training

APPCIOS can accredit your training.  Whether you are an established training organisation or a new provider, we can help you write or enhance your bespoke training programmes to meet APPCIOS criteria. We would be very pleased to hear from you.

It is all very well studying to improve your skills but unless those skills are validated by accreditation and continually developed within a professional network, then people like me, who work with very vulnerable children and families, have few resources to turn to and can become isolated in the workplace.
